Campaigning Experience
Walthamstow is a seat that we can win at the next General Election but it will require as much work if not more work to ensure victory for the Liberal Democrats.
Before the 2005 General Election, the Liberal Democrats were 17,323 behind Labour. As the Parliamentary Candidate for Walthamstow and an excellent team of activists and helpers, I ran a a very successful General Election campaign, achieving one of the largest swings from Labour to the Liberal Democrats in London and Nationally, cutting the Labour majority to below 8,000 and at the same time pushing the Tories into an unwinnable poor third position.
As Campaigns Manager for the 2006 Local Election, we built on the General Election success by increasing the number of Walthamstow Councillors from 7 to 9, by electing to two new councillors in the High Street Ward, previously a solid Labour Ward.
I have been campaigning locally, regionally and nationally for over twenty years, in many varied roles from Focus deliverer to election agent and candidate. Combining that with the experience and expertise of local activists, we can create a Campaigns "A Team" and with your help and support we can win in Walthamstow.
